"Dazzling, admirable, talented, practitioners of the art of dits and dahs provide company in which to bask and be somewhat dazzled. Therefore, any visitor is practically bound to want to be like these rare and impressive folks, and should rush headlong into the pursuit of the magic and mystery of the Cs and Ws!" ~ Bert, KC2ABB

The requirement for Morse code was dropped from the FCC License about twenty years ago, and recently - especially since the Covid lockdowns - there has been a steady growth of interest in morse again. What is it? What do they do? How hard is it to learn? and so on.

Our club has a core of CW Operators that conduct a conversational “net” Monday through Saturday at 8:15 am (local time) on or near 3.542 MHz. The participants transmit at the speed of the slowest sender. First and third Fridays are often considered “straight key Fridays,” where participants are encouraged to use their straight keys (if they have one), but is not a requirement. Net members meet on the alternate (2nd and 4th) Fridays for "eyeball QSOs" over breakfast at the Middleburgh Diner at net time. The net members welcome anyone who wish to join in for CW and/or breakfast!
