Special Event Station Announcement
Radio Club Limburg, the North Limburg region, The Netherlands, will activate special event station PA8ØOV to commemorate Operation Veritable and celebrate 80 years of freedom after World War II. Operation Veritable in early 1945 cleared the way for Allied troops to cross the Rhine River and begin to move into Germany. PA8ØOV will be on the air February 14 - 16, 2025. 2025 Field Days
“Be prepared” is the famous Boy Scouts motto, but is equally true for the Amateur Radio license holders, people who are at all times ready to help neighbors and the authorities in the times of emergency in which communication can spell the difference between a hard time survived and a tragic disaster.
The annual event is an opportunity for the Schoharie County Amateur Radio Association and other radio operators across the country to enjoy good fellowship while honing skills needed for emergency field operation.

2024 Simulated Emergency Test
NNY Section (as well as ARRL) are preparing for the 2024 Simulated Emergency Test (SET). “This nationwide event is among the best chances of the year for amateur radio operators to plan for and practice their emergency communication skills in an organized and coordinated effort with public service agencies and organizations in your community, ARRL Section, or state.” ~ QST Magazine, September 2024 issue.
Details regarding SCARA participation have be en emailed to members. Those individuals actively participating have been given their deployment locations and more specific drill details.
Individuals may “listen-in” on the repeater.

Special Event Station: Esperance Presbyterian Church
The Special Event Station will be on the air in Esperance, NY, celebrating the Bicentennial of the Esperance Presbyterian Church from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 14. We'll be using both ssb and cw, using 20m and 40m bands respectively.
