2023 Field Days
ARRL Field Days began in 1933 and have been an annual event since then. occurring at the end of June. This year’s event is scheduled for June 24th and 25th.
During Field Days amateur radio operators “Hams” throughout North America set up temporary stations to demonstrate the science of radio communications, operator skills and service to our communities and the nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach and technical skills all in a 24 hour period.
The Schoharie County Amateur Radio Association (SCARA) attempts to utilize a different location throughout Schoharie County to show the public our capabilities in a wide variety of situations and locations. This year we will be operating from, thanks to the generosity of the Cobleskill Elks Lodge #2040, at their Lodge at 152 Legion Drive in Cobleskill, NY.
We invite visitors to come see us in operation from noon Saturday until noon Sunday.
